Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 5, 2026 Last updated: August 5, 2026
This policy explains how brettrobinmd.com collects, uses, and shares information from visitors.
It covers this website only. It is not a Notice of Privacy Practices. That notice describes how patient health information is handled under HIPAA and is provided by the practice.
What this site collects
From the contact form. The information you enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, preferred location, and your message.
Please do not include medical or health information in the form. It is not a secure channel. To discuss a medical concern, call 512-856-1000. For a medical emergency, call 911.
Automatically. The website platform records standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site that referred you. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used, not to identify individual visitors. The platform sets cookies to support this and to keep the site working. Most browsers let you block cookies, though parts of the site may not function normally if you do. This site does not use advertising or social media tracking pixels.
How the information is used
To respond to your inquiry, follow up on an appointment request, maintain the site, and comply with applicable law.
Information submitted through this site is not sold, and it is not shared with third parties for their marketing.
How we contact you
If you submit the contact form, you will receive an automated message confirming it was received, and someone from the office will follow up about your request. These are replies to your inquiry, not marketing messages, and this site does not add you to a mailing list. If you would rather not be contacted, write to contact@brettrobinmd.com or call 512-856-1000.
Where it is stored and who it is shared with
This site is hosted on Wix. Information submitted here is stored on Wix's platform and handled under their security practices. Their privacy policy is at wix.com/about/privacy.
Otherwise, information is shared only with vendors that help operate the site and deliver email, limited to that purpose, and with anyone disclosure is legally required to.
Dr. Brett Robin practices at Austin Orthopedic Institute, and inquiries submitted here may be handled by practice staff.
How long it is kept
Contact form submissions, and the contact records created from them, are kept while they are still needed to respond to your inquiry and for our records, and are reviewed and cleared periodically. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
Information that becomes part of a patient record is governed by the Notice of Privacy Practices and medical records retention requirements instead.
Security
Reasonable measures are used to protect the information collected here. No website is completely secure, which is why we ask that you not send medical information through the form.
Your choices
Write to contact@brettrobinmd.com to ask what information is held about you, request a correction, or request deletion. Requests are answered as required by law, and deletion requests are processed through the website platform's data request tool. Depending on where you live, state privacy law may give you additional rights.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. Requests for care involving a minor should come from a parent or guardian.
