A Look Inside the New Georgetown Orthopedic Clinic

Georgetown has grown faster than almost any city in the country over the past decade, passing 100,000 residents last year, and Round Rock, Hutto, and Taylor have grown alongside it. More people in this part of Williamson County means more knees, shoulders, and hips that need looking after, more athletes to help get back to their game, and more reason for that care to happen close to where people live.
Dr. Brett Robin has practiced in Georgetown for five years, and his clinic has now moved into a larger permanent space off of Westinghouse Road with imaging and physical therapy in the same building. The video above walks through all of it. Here is what it means for your visit.
Where to find us
Austin Orthopedic Institute - Georgetown
1410 Blue Ridge Drive Suite 100
Georgetown, TX 78626
Hours: 8:00 to 5:00 PM
The clinic sits about a mile from I-35, which puts it a short drive from Round Rock and a straight shot from Taylor and Hutto.

Getting in the door
The building is a single story, so there are no stairs to climb or elevators to find, and parking wraps all the way around it so there is usually a space near the door you need. Every clinic entrance has a push-button opener, and the hallways inside were built wide enough for a walker or wheelchair to pass without anyone having to squeeze through. If you are arriving in a boot or on crutches, that is the part you will notice first.
Inside the clinic
The waiting area is open and bright, with plenty of seating and a lot of natural light, and the front desk has three windows so that checking in and checking out both keep moving.
Past the desk are twelve exam rooms, many of them with windows and all of them with new furniture and room enough for a proper exam. Each room keeps anatomical models on the counter so that Dr. Robin can show you what he is looking at rather than asking you to picture it. The rooms wrap around clinical pods where the physicians, PAs, and medical assistants all work together, which is what keeps a clinic this size running smoothly through the day.
Imaging and therapy under the same roof
X-ray is on site in a large room with a new machine, so if you come in with an injury your images can be taken and reviewed during the same visit rather than at a second appointment somewhere else. If you need advanced imaging, like an MRI or a CT scan, the order goes to whichever imaging location works best for you.

A large, open therapy space with room to work and room to get around.

The X-ray room is large enough that a walker or wheelchair can come in alongside you, and it is a short walk from the exam rooms.
What Dr. Robin treats here
You can be seen in Georgetown for the same care he provides at the Austin office on Jollyville Road:
Shoulder, hip, and knee arthritis, including joint replacement
Ligament, tendon, and muscle tears and strains (rotator cuff, labral, meniscus, ACL, etc.)
Sports injuries of athletes of all ages
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and other injection-based treatments
If you are not sure whether what you have is worth an appointment, it probably is. We are happy to address any orthopedic issue you are dealing with whether it is a minor sprain or something requiring surgical treatment.
Making an appointment
Call 512-856-1000 or request an appointment online. If you have had imaging or records done somewhere else, send them ahead when you can so they are ready before your visit. The Austin office on Jollyville Road has not changed.
We're glad to be here
Georgetown has changed a great deal in the years Dr. Robin has practiced here, and this part of Williamson county is going to keep growing. What has not changed is who walks through the door. These are neighbors, the people we run into at the high school game and in line at the grocery store, and getting to take care of them in the town where they live is the best part of this work.
We are proud to call this community home, and we are excited to welcome you into the new space. If you ever need us, we are right down the road.
